Set in the heavens,
Set on course,
It gives without regret.
The sun came out, yesterday! Bring it on! Dump your radiant power upon us!
For some, it may be an overstatement, perhaps, a bit overly dramatic, but for those who live in Pacific Northwest, such events borderline on the miraculous. In a region where clouds, darkness, and wet rule much of the year, the days of sun reach into our rain drenched souls, and declare, “Rise and live!” I am profoundly elated on such days.
Few things revive so powerfully. Except…
Jesus said with poignant revelation, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12, ESV) He is the sun in the midst of the darkness. He appears; always on time. Because of him, things erupt into life and become what they were intended to be. Notice what Jesus says, He is “the light of life;” without Him nothing new is truly birthed.
Look for the light, today. Regardless of the testimony of your environment, see that the light has manifested. All is clear. Let Him warm your soul, enlighten your mind, and become what His power emboldens.
