Morning Meditation – On the Inside

The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you (or within you).” (Luke 17:20b-21)

We got to stop looking for movements of God. Jesus is very clear to the religious who would want to capture and define God by divine activity or holy locations—He would say, “Stop! You’re looking in the wrong place!”

Planes do not fly over it. Roads do not crisscross its lands. Borders cannot define its authority. The kingdom of God already imbues all of life; it already fills every corner of the universe. God already permeates all of creation.

Let’s hear the call of Jesus; let’s look for the rule of heaven in our hearts. Miracles are not large enough to define it. Sanctuaries are not grand enough to capture the true beauty that is an eternal God. A heart must decide to believe in what cannot be touched or felt by human hands. The heart alone has the power to make the kingdom of God real. Only God in us can ever be a true witness.

Today, if you’re looking for more of God, stop looking for God to prove Himself to you. He’s already surrounded you with huge creative miracles. He’s already demonstrated the full extent of His love through the death of His Son. The ultimate power of God is made complete by the promise of Himself within you.

All that’s left to do is hear…receive…follow…and live!

  1. Amen 🙏. Great story, I want to share this with you it’s testimony of real spiritual experiences I’ve had, and after reading it all, it would be unreasonable to be an atheist truthseekers33blog.wordpress.com
