Morning Meditation – Fuel for Life

Jesus said, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about…My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to accomplish His work.” (John 4:32, 34)

We cannot live without this food to nourish our souls.  It sustains like nothing else will.  It continues to strengthen when normal proteins and carbohydrates give out.

This food of which Jesus speaks is the enigmatic idea we call purpose.  Without purpose, we have no life.  There is no reason to get up in the morning – no reason to bring the fight.

But know this, your purpose is more than a job.  It gives more than a new-found business can return.  Purpose drives every action and working hour with an intention to see other’s lives made better.

So, let me give you this powerful definition of true purpose: it is your love released through your uniquely creative design.  With your personality and talents, God has packaged His love for the world to see His goodness.  You are a light and sound for the world to know that it can be better than it currently is.  Through that which we love and enjoy most, God has given us the thrill of bringing His light to this world.

So, as God has freely given to you, freely give.  Give without any thought of return, and your purpose will become self-evident.

Good Morning Pastor. Im sorry i missed church yesterday, i did get to listen to some of the sermon on vimeo , it was streaming in and out. Please pray for me, I’ve been fighting the “d” again. That would be “d”epression. Im not giving in to the d or the “d”. Notice i give both lower case d. (I do not speak about this , “d” because power is in the tongue) Youre my pastor and i wanted to share with you and Pastor Lauralee, so we can defeat this together. I know I already have the victory through Christ. God is so good and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and church family. Also, it has been 3 years since I’ve seen my granddaughters. Please pray for reconciliation for us all. Thank you. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Xoxos GOD BLESSES US. Gail

  2. From what I see, Christians struggle so much with the preconceived mysteries of their individual purpose; and here you defined it so simply and profoundly. Truth carries freedom to those who will listen! Praise Jesus!!! May many hear and understand.

    1. Thank you, Becky! I agree wholeheartedly, Becky! Sometimes, people get so wrapped up in manifesting what they believe to be their destiny that they don’t enjoy who they were meant to be today. 😊
