“Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the Lord to you, “Do not be afraid, and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s.”” (2 Chronicles 20:15, ESV)
Real life brings us to the battle. Every new ground, and every new level, resists our intrusion. We’ve been promised a place of destiny, and the enemy is doing everything he can to undermine your belief in the Lord. Anything he can do to discourage you from the knowledge that you were made for more, is the enemy’s goal.
This is spiritual warfare – keeping you from God’s best.
Resist giving into the enemy’s strategies. Encourage yourself. The battle is not your fight, but God’s. God knows where you’re going and where He’s called you to stand. He already wants to fight for you as you engage where He’s assigned. He wants to show himself strong and that you have the advantage of His supernatural empowerment.
Also, be aware that the battle is not directly against you. God is the target! The enemy hates God; and so, in resisting you, He’s resisting the Father’s plans. Sometimes, we just can’t take it personal. We’re on God’s side, therefore, the enemy is against you.
The battle belongs to the Lord! That is our faith. So, we charge ahead knowing that our hope in God will win the day.
