Morning Meditation – In the Eye

It swirls about
I cannot be touched.

In the eye, I live
Safe and secure.

No matter the storm
I am centered in divine purpose.

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me…’” (Matthew 28:18, ESV)

Lately, these words of Jesus ring loudly in my mind.  God is encouraging all of us.  There exists no situation under which we find ourselves where Jesus does not already rule.  What a radical truth for those who believe—it changes everything!

Every moment simply calls us to believe God more than the world swirling about us.  God knows who you are and what you are to be in every circumstance.  You are, then, the sign of what His loving rule looks like in every place.

Be strong and courageous, today!

I had an experience at work Monday. The patients were very sick. I was crabby. And so funny that two other nurses were saying they were crabby. I was so upset in my heart that I was crabby and did not want to stay like that all day. So I said to the Lord you have to change me right now and I give you my day. Please help me! Almost immediately, his “rule” took over and I was joyful, patient and kind. I couldn’t believe the nature I was walking in because I should have been stressed out and struggling to be kind. So thankful for His rule, it’s like needing the air we breath!
