Ministry Note – Surgery

Well…it looks like I’m having gall bladder surgery tomorrow morning.  So…I suspect I won’t be writing for a few days.

In the meantime, let me encourage you regarding your own journey as you believe for the miracles of God.  Often, we don’t know how to balance our faith for God’s supernatural intervention and the medical solutions He makes available to us.  I believe the most important thing to keep in mind is that medical interventions are not lesser versions of God’s provision than miraculous ones.

God is good.  Help is help.  Whatever provision God sends our way, whether through natural means or supernatural ones, it’s because God is good…all the time.  He’s not loving only when He shows up in dramatic demonstrations of His power.  He’s in all things, and in everything good that comes our way.

So, if you would pray for me, that would be awesome.  I’m believing for both a supernatural healing, as well as an amazing outcome and recovery!  My surgery is planned for 10:30 tomorrow morning.  In the end, we will thank our God together for His goodness.

With great love for you all!

ALL healing is from the Father and He provides to us Doctors… men and women who take a big chunk out of their lives to learn how to help us get well. So, praying for you as you are in His divine will and that you will have all that you hope for….an amazing recovery!

Praying for success in your surgery and speedy recovery, brother! My surgery in March slowed me a little, but I live almost cancer-free now. Be strong, Jim. God will provide.

We will be praying for you Pastor and look forward to your speedy recovery and sermon on Sunday. As you are coming out of the anesthetic you can prepare the sermon, that would be interesting. Good luck and may God guide the surgeon’s hands.

  6. So glad to know the time and nature of your surgery… I will be praying the truth of Psalm 91, plus however the Spirit leads from now.
“Pastor Jim, you who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend tonight in Shaddai’s shadow, Say this: “God, you’re my refuge. I trust in you and I’m safe!” That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards. His huge outstretched arms protect you— under them you’re perfectly safe; his arms fend off all harm. Fear nothing—… Yes, because God’s your refuge, the High God your very own home, Evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go, Pastor Jim. If you stumble, they’ll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling. You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes, and kick young lions and serpents from the path.
“‘If you’ll hold on to me for dear life,’ says God [to you, Pastor Jim], ‘I’ll get you out of any trouble. I’ll give you the best of care if you’ll only get to know and trust me. Call me and I’ll answer, be at your side in bad times; I’ll rescue you, then throw you a party. I’ll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation!'” (MSG)
I’m trusting God for the compassion and competency of your medical and nursing caregivers. May your healing be complete, swift, and without complication – God continues good!!! Blessings, love…

  7. Where’s the button that makes the hearts fly all across the screen? Well, regardless of my physical display of love, encouragement, support, and prayers via hearts on a screen; love you and praying for you.
