Morning Meditation – In the Invisible Realm

“Then the Devil left Him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to Him.” (Matthew 4:11, ESV)

God will not leave you alone!  You may have to go through times of testing, but in the end, He will always send support.  Consider the story of Jesus’ temptation in the desert.  He was led by the Spirit into the desert; He encountered not only hunger, but very real attacks from the Devil.  And in the end, when our Lord was found faithful, God sent angels to strengthen Him.

What a powerful dimension to God’s heavenly arsenal!

The Bible describes angels as “ministering spirits;” (Hebrews 1:7, 14) which means they don’t always appear in physical form.  They are spirit beings with supernatural ability.  Their activities range from warring in the spiritual realm to empowering believers through all sorts of trials.  They perform miracles as well as bring the judgments of God.  They are dispatched when necessary, especially when God’s sons and daughters have been embroiled in spiritual battle.

These servants of God are described as wind and flames of fire.  Their purpose is to breath life into dying situations, and to be God’s fire to burn away the chaff.  They are the power of God behind the scenes.

So…be encouraged, today.  You may not see angels about, but they are there.  You may be going through it, right now; but, the Lord our King will strengthen you when you need it most.  He knows where you are and what you’re going through.  Be faithful in your assignment.  Lift up the Word of God and stand your ground.  In the end, the Father will send these ministering spirits to be your guard for the victory.

  1. AMEN, AMEN, AND AMEN SOME MORE!! This has been proven true in my life so many times and I want to scream it from the rooftops!! GOD IS SO GOOD!! I thank him every single day for all I have endured because in those times is where I have seen his power and love in brand new ways and I have been strengthened to walk into my story!! Perfect example is the Brain Disease and strokes I have endured. I would not be in school right now to be able to help other heart and stroke patients recover in Cardiac Rehab if I myself had not experianced the strokes and if my brother had not had the heart attack so young that brought him home to Jesus!!
