“For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29, ESV)
God does not forget who you are. God knows why he created you, and where you fit into His plans. He dreams of your success. He seeks to encourage you in all you do – to be the best version of yourself you can be.
The devil, on the other hand, makes it his business to get you to forget who you are – to create in you a spiritual amnesia. If he can get you to simply get by, bury your talent, then he’s won the game. If the enemy can get you focused enough on what you’ve done wrong, or how you wasted your time, then perhaps, he could even get you to believe that God has revoked His calling in your life.
But the truth, again, is that God never forgets who His kids are. You’ve been redeemed by the blood. Restored by the Holy Spirit. All you have to do is believe it.
So, live at a higher level. You were made for it; you were saved for it! God has not revoked your life’s mission. Rejoice in what He’s given you, and everything else will unfold as it should.
