Morning Meditation – A Simple Song

The words of this song are ringing through my mind: “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little to ones to Him belong. They are weak, but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me…the Bible tells me so.” Did you remember it? Did you sing it with me?

I am a very simple man. My trust, very focused. My faith, very grounded.

Our faith is really not that difficult to understand. Jesus himself said, that “unless you become like a child, you will not see the kingdom of heaven.” It’s only in the simplicity of the given gospel do we find the freedom of our belief.

Return to the ease of your child-like faith. Trust that the testimonies of scripture are still real. Recall to mind what made it so easy for you to give your heart to Jesus the first time. It will open your eyes. It will soothe your soul. It will launch you into the wild unknown of the Spirit led living.

Tonight at InfuZion, Makalahs little son led us in communion. He seemed so confident, way past his years. Here he was with childlike faith and in weakness because he’s a little boy. You could hear a pin drop as he led us and the presence of God was tangible!

Yes, i remember and we just sang that at my Great Auntie Teru’s memorial service. She was 103 when she left her Christian legacy to her family and is now walking streets of gold with Jesus!! It’s so AWESOME to KNOW how much Jesus loves us!!
