Morning Meditation – On the Path

Sun…trees…water…quiet…nothing better than vacation in Pacific Northwest paradise!

It’s been a long vacation; and now, I’m home. It feels soooo good! Breaks are needed, but it’s always great to come back to normalcy – whatever that is, right?!

So…here I am; sitting in my office, with coffee in hand. I look across the room…and what fills my mind?

“I love life with the Lord!”

It’s not always easy. It may be filled with all kinds of difficulty. It’s rarely predictable. But, a good life is not one filled with certainty; it is one filled with adventurous faith – like a child, believing we’re going to see something new, and the hand of God move.

There’s nothing better than to be led by the only One who can see the end from the beginning. This is our certainty. Life with God makes sense of this dim reality. Good or bad; high or low; He makes it meaningful. The Lord may not always lead you where you dreamed, but His leading will always fulfill a grander purpose than our imagination.

This is true hope – that we’re part of something bigger than ourselves. If you haven’t figured out what your purpose is yet, or you’re afraid you might be missing it; don’t worry! The only real question for the believer is: are you doing the best you can to follow Christ? If your answer is, “Yes,” then you are on the right path. Life is just a matter of discovery, then.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV)

In our very uncertain world, I can find peace and joy knowing my Lord and Savior! He is in command and I am in Him! All is well with my soul!

  2. Hey pastor and welcome back! Thank you for a powerful reminder too!

It only makes sense to trust GOD in a world that makes absolutely NO SENSE!!
