Mid-Day Meditation – His Heart

As I read these words in my personal devotional time, I was struck by God’s consistent message to me; especially after my message, yesterday, at Zion’s River.

“Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble, the Lord delivers him; the Lord protects him and keeps him alive; he is called blessed of the land; you do not give him up to the will of his enemies. The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health.” (Psalm 41:1-3, ESV)

God supernaturally supports those whose hearts reflect His heart.

What else is there to say?

WOW! What a reward this scripture lists for those reflecting the Fathers heart. He places great value , not on random acts of selflessness, but, on an “attitude” of selflessness. How can He be “Creator”and yet be so good to the created? He doesn’t want tribute or power , things He could demand, He’s a good Father and He wants us to understand humility, mercy, and love beyond ourselves. Great meditation!
