Morning Meditation – A Misty Future

We set goals.  We exercise our faith.  We dream big.  Why?

Generally, it’s because we want to determine the outcomes and experiences of our life.  Without doing so, we wander aimlessly and achieve little. The only problem: control is an illusion.  Have you ever noticed that there have been times in your life where you have done everything right, and it still didn’t turn out right?

At the end of the day, after you’ve done the best you could, you simply have to trust.

What does the scripture say, “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never ends.” (1 Corinthians 13:7-8a, ESV) In other words, I can trust that if I’m loving from God’s love (notice how I said that), I can trust the outcome…no matter what it looks like, today.

Although dreams may lead into an uncertain future, go ahead and set your goals; believe in your vision.  Let your divine purpose set a course.  But, trust more in the love God is demonstrating through you to produce what will last into eternity.
