Morning Meditation – In Unlikely Moments

Recently, while relaxing and randomly watching TV, my mind was struck by how good I felt.  I was happy, like, really happy…not because my life and body were free from negative issues, but simply because I knew I was loved.  I was cared for.  I was going somewhere.  I was overwhelmingly blessed by this simple thought: God is with me…and the added bonus, my wife was beside me.

God’s love is power.  His love in me and through me carries weight—it moves with force.  It changes everything it touches.  It gives sense when nothing else makes sense.  His love is truly an empowering mystery flowing from within.

I know this sounds a little esoteric and intangible, but we must remember that “God is Spirit” and works from an unseen place.

Now, put all of these thoughts in the context of this scripture: “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20, NIV). As much as we desire and look for God’s tangible power and glory, His greatest work erupts from inside us…changing US.  And when we are transformed, then every life issue is transformed!

So today, meet God in the secret place.  Let go of what bothers you, and allow the Lord to be your meaning in the midst of life!

I keep listening over and over again to a song by United, “Savior King”. I can’t seem to get off that song and it’s amazing words. I love the lyric that says, ” now let the church shine as the bride, that you saw in your heart as you offered up your life” … His love for us so intense!

  2. Amen Pastor!!!!
    Me too! me too!
I am believing that this year will be a revival break out! The churches ate about to FILL UP!!! I feel that my own church I attend will fill so much that many may have to stand! I feel that all in my spirit! I am so excited! I can really see that happening!!!! Believe!!!! Anything is possible with JESUS!!!!!

  3. Lately (Repeatidly), I am hearing the words (of the song), “turn your eyes to Jesus”.
Instead of just singing along as if I’ve been given a good song to sing praise to my King too, I take it as the Spirits readjustment; reminding me to acknowledge His very Presence within me (all that HE is) in each & every situation.
Amazing how He reveals His purposes, intentions, and His great love for us!
    😀
