Morning Meditation – A Force in the Earth

“After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Luke 10:1-2, NIV)

As many of you know, these are the driving words for my monthly “72” teaching event at Zion’s River. It stirs my imagination for the possibilities of what God could do if every believer understood that they are a chosen vessel to show-up where Jesus wants to show-up next. God’s love and glory would only increase in the earth rather than the horrors we’ve been seeing lately.

Well…I believe God is still in the business of choosing people for the outpouring of His love and power in the real places where we live. Jesus did not come to give us an event to chase, but life to be lived in the real world!

Would you take a moment, today, and consider how you are such a vessel for God’s glory? Remember my definition of glory: it is “the beauty of God’s creative and loving action and presence.” You ARE a force for powerful change. Circumstance has no real hold on you. When we shift from self-centered living to God-centered living, lives are “healed, released and restored to their divine story!”

Let’s open our eyes and stop trusting in an event, but be the event for Jesus’ cause.
