Morning Meditation – No greater Gift

“He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him.  But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:11-12, ESV)

I know how this might sound, but…when we received Jesus, we simply received Jesus!  We gained the gift of spending eternity with Him.  We didn’t just get life everlasting to do as we please; we got life with Him.  We became “children of God.”  We entered His house—to sit at His table.

I know that we know that, but sometimes the benefits of the Kingdom can be exchanged for the person of the Kingdom.  In our eagerness to operate in Kingdom reality, we at times forget that He came to simply give us Himself—a walk with Him.

Keep this in mind: a life of power without God is simply witchcraft.  Let the Spirit of the living God encourage you with Himself, today.  We get to live life WITH Him.  He walks with us through it all.  He empowers us to face every day with faith, hope, and love.  There is no greater gift than Jesus and our adoption into His family!

This is so good! The enemy would love to convince us that life with Jesus is boring, a been there done that experience. We know we have abundant life as His children!
