Morning Meditation – Precious

“In Him, we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28)

Icicle lights…colored lights…snowmen…lighted pigs…yes, I said PIGS.  It’s my wife’s favorite!

It’s been two years since I’ve put lights on my house.  This year, I got to do it!

That may not be a big deal to most, but to reach a level of healing where I can do things myself again brings a kind of joy that I did not understand before.

Life is more than precious; but sometimes we forget what we’ve been given, don’t we? Until our natural strengthen is stolen, and then we discover its meaning.

Regardless of your station in life, whether strong or weak, embrace the moments you’ve been given.  How we engage them gives them meaning.  As gifts from heaven, God grants us the days of our lives to experience His love, and to grant others the same.  Like our Father, every day, we get to create…to move…to give…to adventure.

Did you hear that?  “We GET to!”

Don’t lose your moments to retreat.  Find life in the gift that it is.

  1. ONLY in Him… Light of the world… Healer… Oh, yeah, “When pigs fly” has been said about healing, forgiveness, redemption, restoration, Light, calling, – be encouraged; Jesus went through it all for our sakes and for the sake of the kingdom! We sons and daughters stand victorious in Him. Love, blessings…

    1. Good morning, Cece! Great to see you here! Thank you. I am more than encouraged. 😇 I have found “in Him” more than I can imagine. May the fullness of our Savior’s presence pour over you and George in a fresh way this season!

As I prepare to go to work I am thankful for health! This is a hard time for people and their families to be in the hospital let alone intensive care. I hope to remember the struggle of getting back to health that I have witnessed it in my own mother these past months! Today, may I be used as an instrument of His love and healing to those struggling to get well!

  3. AMEN!! You know how very much I relate to this!! I never fully appreciated my life and my story until it was almost taken from me by the brain disease. I have learned to be thankful in all things even my struggles and that in those struggles is when I feel and hear God more and when I learn how much he loves me. I am not saying they are easy cuz they are far from it and sometimes the pain feels almost completely unbearable, but that is when I am reminded of whos I am. It is always such a great day when I can do things that I don’t always have the strength or energy to do.
