Morning Meditation – Vacation Every Day

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven…”(Ecclesiastes 3:1, ESV)

It’s February 2016.  We’re sitting on a plane.  Ready to go to Hawaii!

Here at the start, you can see it on our faces; there’s something about flying, especially when you’re about to go on a long-needed vacation, that creates in the soul a powerful rejuvenation.

You’re leaving.  Your adventuring.  You’re removing yourself from everything mundane in order to experience the rush of daily newness.  That’s vacation!  It doesn’t even really matter where, as long as you leave.  Right?

Perhaps, that’s what we need to see in our daily experience.  You don’t have to wait for that one week, once a year.  Every day is supposed to be brand new.  You’re always on your way somewhere.

It’s all about creating opportunities that put us on mission rather than just letting life happen to us.  As much as there is “a time for every matter under heaven,” every season is filled with God-given destiny.  Everything is on purpose.  Don’t wait for a single event to define your joy.

Find the daily thread of God’s adventure for you…and fly!

I spend on average of 100 nights a year in a hotel all over the US and sometimes internationally. I thrive when I am headed to the airport, but with that being said, the reality is; No matter where You go… there YOU are…, Location does not change you…
Vacation and joy are a state of mind.
