Journey 2018 – It’s in the Mind

Just a quick note, today…I felt moved to share this for a specific person.

More than any other struggle, the battle in your in your mind is the greatest. You can’t escape your thoughts. You can’t avoid your feelings.

As you move toward becoming all that God has for you in 2018 (and the rest of your life), you will wrestle with all kinds of demons telling you, “You can’t…the pain is too great…you don’t have what it takes…” They’ll just keep coming at you with every reason why this is not your season of victory.

The biggest thing I can tell you is this: resist the temptation of thinking that you’re the only one going through what you’re going through! That no one really understands your struggle…that your darkness is greater than anyone else’s comprehension. Of course, you may not literally say that to yourself, but you might feel it; it might be lurking there at the back of your mind.

It is a lie!

Our enemy loves it when you go there. He knows that our emotional isolation is the beginning of our defeat.

Instead, keep this promise of Scripture near to your heart: “But he (God) gives more grace. Therefore, it says, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” (James 4:6-8a)

Grace is God’s favor and presence—it’s His power for living. It says that, “I am loved, and God is for me!”

Things are not as they seem. Chase God and you will find that He’s already there. In His presence, every answer you need is there.

Your words here are so welcome to me! ! A true battle requires two opponents. In the arena of faith, the Christian stands against “every high thing that exhaults itself above the knowledge of Christ! We are commanded by our King to stand, and we are given the best weapondry in the universe, the whole armor of A loving God! Eph.6:11 starts listing these things and thorough study of each armor piece makes us know how fit we are for the battle. A soldier knows his uniform, his helmet, his gun, his boots, and even what rations or food he carries into battle, he’s prepared! Your meditation reminded me of this strength to stand already given to us. As a child of God, we are actually more than equipt to win! Heck yeah!
