This scripture from last Sunday continues to bombard my mind for you: “But Peter said, ‘I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!’” (Acts 3:6, ESV)
Your resources are the fuel for expressions of love—from the practical to the supernatural!
Think about it…we know that we are loved because someone made a sacrifice—someone gave. Whether it be in time, finances, or some other action of attentive love, we feel love’s healing because something was given.
Be encouraged—you are such a vessel for others. You always have something to give that will transform another life. Although you may not feel you possess enough in your hands to give, become multidimensional in your love for others. Tap into the supernatural resource God has given you to give to others. Create the anticipation of God reaching out His loving arms through you. If you can’t give in one way, consider what Jesus might give through other means.
I love Peter’s phrase, “I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give to you.” He was confident and bold about what the Lord had deposited in Him to give. Peter wasn’t dependent upon one type of resource. He knew God was with Him—reaching out through Him. He knew that Jesus in Him was more powerful than any physical resource He possessed.
God has given you something to give. I understand that the supernatural may not always manifest as it did for Peter, but your faith that Jesus dwells in you changes everything. By trusting Him, you automatically create opportunity for Jesus to love another. It’s the key to unlocking every atmosphere for good. It’s the hammer that breaks-off every oppressive spirit. Trust brings God’s grace to bear on every situation.
So…give generously whenever you can. Give honor wherever honor is due. Gift others with caring service and messages. And when you find there is no gift left in your pocket, let God release His love through Words, revelation, and even miracles.
Give, give, and give some more, until every situation is captured for His purposed joy.
