History is very clear: waves of revival come and go. Times of great refreshing from heaven come bursting into our awareness with regularity. But, never have these times of restoration ever remained with any permanence.
This is normal.
What does scripture say, “For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully.” (1 Cor. 13:12) Perfection is not now. For now, we only get glimpses and tastes of what is to come. And they encourage our souls to keep going, to keep fighting…to keep believing.
Let the tides of revival and restoration encourage you. For every valley we traverse, there are mountain tops that call us to arise out of the darkness. For every battle we face, there are victories that bring us one step closer to the ultimate victory.
Consider this today: without darkness, we would not know light. Without weakness, we would not know power. And in the tension, we find out who we really are.
Until Jesus returns, stand.
